Knowledge

Jake specialises in Reggae, Ska, Soul and Jamaican Vinyl and Records, running his own label (Tuff Scout) since 2013. A record collector himself, Jake's passion for Reggae has made him a well known and respected figure on the scene for more than 20 years.

Mick has a vast knowledge of Vinyl Records from 60's and 70's Rock, Punk, New Wave and Jazz, and a deep, unabiding love for Iggy Pop.

Our newest member of staff, George, specialises in Latin, Hip-Hop and Electronic music Vinyl (encompassing Jungle to House 12" Singles and everything in between).

All three of our small but highly knowledgable team are avid record collectors and will be able to let you know honestly and promptly how much cash you can expect for your vinyl records.

Simplicity
Whether it's a dusty box of Beatles records under the stairs or a pristinely curated room of your rare vinyl treasures, selling a record collection can be a bit overwhelming. Honesty
Many record-dealers will try and pay you as little as possible for your records. At Out on the Floor we will always give you the best cash prices for your vinyl. We believe that our honest approach is part of what has led to our reputation as one of London's most loved record shops. We'll be more than happy to explain how we arrive at the prices we do when you sell your record collection. While we do use online catalogues, we also use our own eyes and ears (there are still many records that are unlisted online – particularly in African, Latin and Jamaican music. Sometimes you just need to trust your senses!)

As a rule, if your collection is mostly Cliff Richard or classical music, then it wouldn’t be something for us. However, there are exceptions, so please do contact us if you’ve got some gems we might get excited about!

Once we’ve valued your records, we will give you our valuation and talk you through how we arrived at that figure. We know how important music is in all our lives and in many instances we are meeting people who have inherited collections from loved ones over the years.
